On a recent excursion to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, I fell madly in love with these watercolor reproductions of the ancient Minoan Frescoes of Knossos. The detailed ornamentation and patchwork scenery have a folky vibe that I swoon for, and offer a ton of inspiration for artists and surface designers. I could easily picture these motifs on a set of dishes over at a place like Anthropolgie, wouldn’t you agree?
