The spring shows were absolutely full of lace, which proved to be one of the most commonly utilized textural trends. While there was a strong feminine tilt to many of the collections, we saw lace utilized in both traditional and modern ways. Grandmothers everywhere would approve.

As if we weren’t still excited after seeing one of our prints for Amour Vert featured in last month’s People Style Watch, two more of our designs from AV’s fall collection have hit stores. Head over to their shop to check out our prints and other très chic eco-apparel.

We were already excited about the upcoming arrival of Amour Vert’s Emily Cranes dress featuring one of our prints, to see it in the September 2012 issue of People Style Watch is beyond thrilling. And throwing on this dress won’t only make you look good, it will have you feeling good, too, since it’s eco-friendly and made from recycled polyester. The only disappointment is to not have snatched one up for myself in time, being that it’s already sold out. Way to go Amour Vert!!

Last October while exhibiting at the LA Textile Show I had the pleasure of meeting the one and only LA Shoegirl, a style savvy footwear designer named Nalini Arora. If you’re familiar with this blog, you may recall that she featured one of our prints and did a mini interview a while back, in her swatch of the week.
This time she’s really hooked us up, incorporating one of her favorite prints from our collection into a custom-designed (and extremely drool-worthy) pair of shoes. Boots, actually, and the ones I’ve been coveting for a while.. and just to be an overachiever she designed an extra pair for herself! (Yes, thank you, I’ll take one of each, please.) I love how she really deconstructs her inspiration and it’s relationship to the final product. Make sure to see the original post for all the great details she put into her design process!

Why, hellooooo!
Please accept my apologies for effectively going MIA over the last few weeks, I’ve had a busy season to say the least! It’s been a whirlwind of creating new art, meeting new clients, signing new artists, and networking with some amazing fellow textile studios at both Printsource NY and Direction by Indigo, both of which took place in New York just last week. The next few days should be relatively calm, which will give me a chance to catch up around here on the blog. Below are a few snapshots from NY, and also a couple of sneak previews of some of the newest designs in the collection. Shoot us a message if you’re in the Los Angeles area and would like to see the line, or if you’re a textile artist looking to work with our studio.
