After an entire year of Monday Color Moods, I find it a little shameful that I haven’t done any using a monochromatic black and white palette. Unlike most people, I tend to think of black and white more as accent colors than as the foundation for a palette.. if you need any further proof of this just take a gander inside my closet.
As the name might imply, this week’s color inspiration needed to be a little loud to make up for our absence in the last few weeks. And yes, the title is a play on Pantone’s color of 2012, Tangerine Tango…But a Monochromatic Monday isn’t really our thing, so we added a few hues and put together something a little more punchy. We might be having one of our typical Autumn heat waves here in Los Angeles, so I arranged this icy pink color board to reflect a more frosty frame of mind.
Primary color combinations aren’t normally my thing, but I love what the pop of jade adds to this palette. There’s something very young and clean about it all..nostalgic even. Anybody with me on this?
