Hi! Expectation

It’s rather hard to find adequate words describing how much we love our clients, with Dallas brand Hi! Expectation being among a very short list of our absolute favorites to work with. Creative Director Sofi Sugasti has such an expressive aesthetic and love of intensely bold colors, allowing us to really push the limits of our design capabilities. Below are just a handful of our favorite looks from their Spring 2014 Collection, which has already begun trickling into boutiques.

Once again I have been lucky enough to collaborate with Hi! Expectation on the development a super fun capsule of original prints for their Fall 2013 collection. You may recall seeing the name of this up-and-coming Dallas based line from our post a while back, when we featured their Spring 2013 collection, which we also had the pleasure of working on. This season, inspiration sprang from south of the border – Mexico to be specific. Below are just a handful of my favorite pages from the lookbook, which was overflowing with colorful mix-and-match print combinations suitable for any fiesta.

To see more of this season’s lookbook, or to find out when and where the collection will hit stores, head over to their website or facebook page.

Each week I’m growing a little bigger, and ever more thankful for the healthy collection of knit maxi dresses I’ve collected over the years. This ensemble is a little more special than previous weeks only because I’m sporting the desert photo top I designed last year for Hi! Expectation’s spring 2013 collection. The photographic landscape and lack of color make it the perfect top to throw over a brightly printed maxi dress. Mixing prints is where it’s at. And let’s be honest – it always feels good to be able to wear one of your own designs.

Come back next week for an update in our ongoing series: Patterns, Preggos & Painted Places.
