Happy New Year, friends! After a much needed week of recuperation we are back with the first color mood of the year. Powdery, soft pastels get an infusion of energy from neon coral, creating a somewhat sweet and tangy color story for your palette.
A washed-out mix of sandy neutrals take center stage in this week’s color story. If you’re afraid of wearing too many colors at once, try out this earthy and aquatic palette of pale pastels. If you stare at it long enough, you may even hear the ocean calling.
This weekend was the hottest in LA all year long, I’m feeling pretty zapped this morning as a result. I had to go with something a little more soothing for today’s color post, something mellow and soft but still colorful, to push the week in the right direction. Hope you are all off to a great week, wherever you may be on this gorgeous globe.
Colorblocked pastels always make me a bit nostalgic for the 80s, but just add in a few Swatch watches and stuffed alpacas in sherbet hues and you’ve got yourself the real deal. These colors also invoke cravings for that amazing ice cream with all the swirly colors and big chunks of bubblegum. It’s been so many years since I’ve had it… can you still get that stuff?
