Here’s a trend that is guaranteed to put you in a groovy mood. Graphic, eye-popping prints in stark shades of black and white evoke a complex mixture of playful and serious, and can often be a challenge to create; the trick is to find the perfect combination of scale and level of detail. Such dazzling optical prints were spotted in various Fall 2015 collections, with examples coming from Trina Turk, Protagonist, and Custo Barcelona in addition to the designers credited below.

Happy New Year, friends! I am predicting that 2015 will be our grooviest year yet, so I made this little illustration to celebrate the feeling. I just love beginnings, so full of inspiration and imagination. The new year is like a virtual reset button where you can take a pause and begin to breathe new life into everything you do. Whether or not you believe in the magic of fresh starts, I’m wishing everyone peace, love and all around good vibes in the upcoming year!

With all of the psychedelic flower power found blooming in the Spring ’15 runway shows, we had to wonder just how many designers were drinking from the same well of acid-laced Kool-Aid? (Um.. and where can we get some?!) This may just be the trend we are most excited to see emerging from the newest shows. With dizzying and playful motifs, and colors that nearly surpass louder-than-life status, these vintage florals are sure to be the life of the Spring print party.

I would need additional fingers on my hands in order to count all of the things that I love about this editorial from the December 2011 issue of Wonderland Magazine. Featuring model Charlotte Free, styled by Grace Cobb and photographed by Elena Rendina, the concept for this photo shoot combines numerous overlapping trends, including [but not limited to] head-to-toe print coverage, print mixing, surrealism, mixed media techniques, garden florals, vintage geometrics, graphic backdrops and psychedelic motifs. Most people would likely find this overwhelming, but to, me this shoot was pulled off with the perfect amount of panache and restraint. I am also a huge sucker for pink hued locks.
