Attempting to combine purple and gold can lead to a dangerously gaudy situation, and to be perfectly honest, we’re okay with that. But if you’re not trying to look like a thugged-out Barney, or Her Majesty, give this color combination a whirl.
Hold on to your hat, people, because today is the first day of October. This means the whirlwind of the Fallidays is basically here. For us at Aaryn West it means the LA Textile Show is only three weeks away, and we’ve been keeping rather busy preparing for that, if you haven’t noticed from the distinct lack of blogging. For now, I leaf you with an autumnal color story to get you in the mood for a month perhaps most famously known for it’s costumes… Willow Wonka, anyone? That would be kind of fun.
Not typically considered a common or basic color combination, stories with orange and purple always command my attention. I wouldn’t mind sporting that amazing bejeweled cuff, for starters.
It could be the mid-December drizzle coming down outside that makes this color story so appropriate for today. If I could name my own crayon in one of these shades it would have to be Glittery Gothberry.
