Clean geometric shapes are carefully arranged and layered in these densely packed stripes for Fall 2015. While it may sound a little generic at first, we find it to be quite a versatile trend. Throw a few Moroccan or African elements in for a tribal feel, or take a more optical approach for a Memphis vibe. You could even have it merchandise with your 70’s group by adding in a simple and clean daisy shape to one of rows in your stripe.

One quirky print trend that caught our attention from the Resort 2014 runway shows was the use of typography. Often executed in black and white for a more optical effect, we see how various compositions create positive and negative space, accentuating both geometric and organic shapes found in the letters and numbers.

Plaids were particularly well represented in the Fall 2013 runway collections, coming in a plethora of colors, sizes and technical variations. Among our favorites were the more textural, painted ones, which seemed to stand out from the more simplistic and traditional approach.

Heart prints had such a strong presence in the Fall 2013 collections that they couldn’t be overlooked as a print trend. Whether presented in a basic repeat, or jazzed up with geometric and linear details, they are sure to add a nostalgic and youthful charm to your print collection.
