From authentic to painterly, plaids, tweeds, and houndstooth prints were liberally sprinkled throughout many Resort ’13 collections. They seemingly provide a popular foundation for print mixing, too, adding a preppy twist on bohemian eclecticism.
Just when I thought this fall might bring a shift towards minimalism as designers {potentially} grow weary of prints, Suno saves the day. There are so many print themes to love in this collection, from the chic neutral countryside, to the new classic; the printed LBD. Am I nutty to think there’s a little something here for everyone? What do you think?
After viewing several runway collections for Resort 2012 I am noticing a trend that makes me very happy: print mixing! It appears that prints are so popular that many designers are piling them on, creating some very interesting and bold results. Here are a few of my favorites. Wallflowers need not apply.
