It’s the middle of winter and we’re leaving sunny California for the frigid temps of New York today, but with much spring in our step. After a little online shopping one thing is clear: it’s definitely the season of printed shoes. Sandals, ballet flats, heels, boots, or 4″ platforms; you can find all of those and more in a stupid crazy array of prints. Whatever your style may be, there’s bound to be a pair with your name on it. Style them with jeans and a tee, or an LBD to let your feet lap up the attention. Or pull on a printed frock for a snazzy print-mixing look. Below are a few of my favorites, but it’s a drop in the bucket compared to what’s out there. Which ones are screaming your name?

The ornately detailed designs of Ancient Egypt are highly regarded at this art studio, which is why we’d like to see it become a bigger trend. I’ve seen trickles of it here and there for a good while, but nothing near the scope of the tribal trends of the last year or so. The most abundant and popular interpretations seem to be in the form of jewelry, so when Mara Hoffman’s King Tut print became available on bags, swim suits and dresses, we pretty much flipped out.
